StaysDxbA FinOps portal for Dubai short-stay operator StaysDxb (37+ units) — a fully operational operations dashboard, an event-driven automation layer, and “Joey”, a read-only AI ops assistant the team runs from Slack. Joey answers questions and drafts guest messages across bookings, payments and units; the platform handles the recurring finance and lead work. Together they save the team at least four hours a day.

StaysDxb runs 37+ holiday-home units, and the day-to-day was carried by a full-time operations associate and a sprawl of manual work — drafting guest messages, chasing payments and extensions, reconciling the books, and assembling the daily picture by hand. Booking and extension admin alone ran two to three hours; monthly reconciliation took two full days. It worked, but it scaled with headcount, not with software.

Mapped StaysDxb's daily operation — bookings, guests, payments and unit ops — to separate what staff should be able to ask from what should fire automatically.

Built a fully operational operations dashboard on a structured database — a single source of truth for the finance and management picture, with gated owner access (beta) so property owners can see how their unit is performing.

Built “Joey”, a read-only AI assistant in Slack: staff ask in plain language and Joey looks up bookings, guests, payments and units and answers — and drafts guest messages (payment reminders, stay extensions, check-in instructions) for a human to review and send.

Wired the event-driven automations: payment-due and overdue triggers, checkout-extension alerts, unsigned-contract follow-ups, a daily executive brief, and lead-capture ingestion — every enquiry captured, routed to the right person instantly, and sent an intro message, so no lead slips through the cracks.

The work that needed a full-time operations associate now runs across the dashboard, the automation layer, and Joey in Slack — saving at least four hours every day. Booking and extension admin went from two-to-three hours to about five minutes; monthly reconciliation went from two days to thirty minutes; and roughly 150 guest and staff messages a week are now drafted automatically, leaving the team to review and send. Live and on retainer since March 2026, with write-access on Joey's roadmap.
